Meet The James Bond Car That Just Sold For $2.4 Million

A silver Aston Martin DB5 owned by actor Sean Connery was recently sold at auction for $2.4 million.

The infamous James Bond has driven many illustrious cars but many still remember this model as the “Bond car”.

The one that Connery first drove in the 1964 film “Goldfinger” was an Aston Martin DB5 with gadgets like machine guns, an ejector seat, and an oil slick maker.

Everything You Need To Know To Avoid The 210 “CARmageddon” This Week

Thanks to our unicorn of traffic Nick Pagliochini, here’s everything you need to know about this week’s closures.

Caltrans Announces Five-Day Closure of Eastbound I-210 at San Gabriel River Bridge

IRWINDALE – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces a five-day closure of westbound Interstate 210 (I-210) at the San Gabriel River Bridge in Irwindale for a bridge upgrade project partially funded by Senate Bill 1 (SB 1). Crews will divert traffic from eastbound I-210 to westbound I-210, which will be converted to three-lanes in both directions between Interstate 605 (I-605) and Irwindale Ave. during the closure.

The following closures will be taking place Wednesday, August 17, at 10:00 p.m. through Tuesday, August 23, at 5 a.m.:

  • Eastbound I-210 from I-605 to Irwindale Ave.
  • Westbound I-210 Irwindale Ave. on-ramps
  • Westbound I-210 to southbound I-605 connector
  • I-605 to eastbound I-210 connector
  • Eastbound I-210 Mt. Olive Dr. on-ramps

Trucks over seven tons are prohibited on Huntington Dr. in the city of Duarte and will be subject to traffic enforcement. Message signs on the highway will be alerting trucks to use designated alternate routes.

Caltrans advises motorists to expect major delays, use I-10 or SR-60 as alternate routes, use public transportation on the Metro L Line (Gold) or Metrolink during the closures and if possible, work from home.

The closure schedule is subject to change due to weather, availability of equipment and materials, and construction-related issues. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and check the Caltrans QuickMap for up-to-the-minute traffic conditions. More information and updates on this project can be found on the District 7 website or on Twitter.

The work is part of a project to upgrade San Gabriel River Bridge on I-210 in Irwindale. The $30 million project – which includes $1.7 million from SB 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 – will upgrade existing bridge hinges and railings and strengthen bridge decks to improve safety.

SB 1 provides $5 billion in transportation funding annually split between the state and local agencies. Road projects progress through construction phases more quickly based on the availability of SB 1 funds, including projects that are partially funded by SB 1. Producer Darlene Shares How Her Beloved Cousin Left The Gift of Hope Behind

Gone too soon. We love you Jared.

We lost my dear cousin Jared suddenly to a severe Asthma attack in February of 2020. He was only 30 years old, with a heart of gold and silly by nature (just like his father Jaime). His dad was my dad’s closest cousin. Our father’s were best friends growing up and we heard all the shenanigans they got into as we grew up. Jared was my younger cousin who we’d get to see every now and then. Even though Jared and his family lived in Illinois, they’d make great efforts to be at our family reunions here in California.

Jared chose to be an organ donor. To our surprise, his blood type was O negative with an RH factor, which is very rare and allowed for universal organ donation. He was able to save and enhance over 70 lives through his organs & tissue donations. To this day, we mourn the loss of our beloved family member Jared. Even in his final act of love, he chose to help others. We are so proud of him and the legacy he leaves in our family.
