I Don’t Pop Molly, I Rock Tom Ford

tomford_jay

Tom Ford paid tribute to Jay-Z at his London Fashion Week show by including a sequined TOM FORD 61 football jersey in his collection of evening wear with the word MOLLY crossed out!

It was a knock-off of the jersey Jay-Z has worn while performing his tribute song “Tom Ford”, which references the designer’s birth year, 1961.

In the song, Jay-Z says “I don’t pop molly, I rock Tom Ford”

Taylor Swift! Pretty In Red

taylor_glam

Taylor Swift is on the cover of Glamour magazine and she looks so fresh and gorgeous!

Here s a few things she shared with the magazine!

On being a role model:

I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don t really feel like taking them off. It s not an urge I have. For me risky is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That s putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off.

On knowing when to not read about herself:

I know when not to read an article. Is it going to help my day? Is it important for my life? If the answer is no, then I just don t click . I m careful about getting sucked into the rabbit hole that is the Internet because, as a songwriter, I don t have the option of having thick skin. As a writer you have to be open to everything, and that includes pain, rejection, self-doubt, fear. I deal with that enough on my own. If you look hard enough, you could find somebody on the Internet criticizing every single thing about you. If you re me.

On freezing men out in a relationship:

I think everyone should approach relationships from the perspective of playing it straight and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Until he establishes that this is a game. And if it s a game, you need to win. The best thing to do is just walk away from the table.

12 Shoes For 12(Ex) Lovers

Artist Sebastian Errazuriz has created a shoe sculpture collection for each of his exes. And we are obsessed with all 12!!

The project evokes the memory of love, pain, sex of his 12 previous relationships.

The Ice Queen heel, we can only imagine how she was.

And Heart Breaker has to be our favorite, a beautiful red pump with an arrow going through, what we can imagine, his poor little heart!

What’s Happening This Weekend? Fashion, Designers, Make-up, Music and More at New Girl Expo

Tomorrow Saturday Dec 14, New Girl Expo is coming to the CaliforniaMarketCenter in Los Angeles and it is one of the most anticipated events of the winter season!

New Girl Expo is a one-stop shop for popular brands, designers and make-up artists. And unlike a shopping center, the expo has a fun party atmosphere with live DJs mixing all day; taking the shopping experience to another level!

However, the one thing that stands out is the women behind New Girl Expo.

New Girl Expo is the brain child of two gorgeous Latinas, Joann and Ashley.

Both women, like all women, love fashion and make-up! And just like many women, the toll of a daily hectic schedule with work, school, children can give little to no time to pamper and take care of yourself!

New Girl Expo wants to take you away from the daily routine and want you to focus on yourself!!

So round up all you girlfriends and get down there!

Fashion blogger, Roxy Limon will be hosting event, so you cannot miss this! Check out video below of the fabulous Roxy talking about New Girl Expo!

We also had the pleasure to talk to both of the founders, Joann and Ashley about their mission, the love they have for their family, and the must-have item this Holiday season!

For those who don’t know, tell us what New Girl Expo is?

AL & JF: Our mission is to create a beautiful space for women looking to achieve a head to toe makeover. What makes New Girl Expo different is the entire experience one will have at our events. Our guests can mingle and meet up-and-coming beauty and fashion experts, engage in live blogger panels, watch live fashion shows–all while supporting small and local businesses. This semi-annual event is created for every type of girl, fashionista or not, who needs a day of renovation and indulgence.

How did this idea come about?

AL: The idea behind New Girl Expo was sprouted behind the need of wanting to get a new look. I was so caught up on school, being a new mom, and work, that I never made time for my self. When I decided to do so, I realized how time consuming and expensive it would be to actually be to achieve a full “makeover.” Running around to this place and then to that place seemed impossible. One day I saw a segment on a women’s channel about the challenges that female small business owners face and It just came to me! What if we could have this awesome day to pamper ourselves all while shopping local and small business? I then began my first NGE meeting immediately, and ever since then, I was able to see my dream and ideas come true!

What does your family think about what you guys have created?

AL & JF: Our families are our biggest supporters! They have been to all of our events, and have seen the growth in our business. They are very proud of both of us, and our team and will continue to support us on our business venture.

This event is New Girl Expo’s biggest to date, what are some fun surprises those attending should expect?

AL & JF: We will be having our first ever fashion show showcasing some winter outfits provided by our very own vendors! We have a lot of special guest appearances as well!

What do you want those attending feel after leaving the event?

AL & JF: We want our guests to feel a sense of excitement, and relaxation, for taking the time for themselves. NGE is the perfect “girls day out” with endless shopping and pampering!

Fashion blogger, Roxy Limon is hosting the event. Why did you guys decide on her?

AL & JF: We wanted to incorporate the digital beauty aspect into our event. Roxy actually attended our NGE summer event in Long Beach and was very excited about our company. After a few lunch meetings we decided that it would be the perefect touch to our event to merge the digital beauty world and the tangible beauty (MUA, shopping, etc.) world together. She has been such a great supporter in what we are doing and truly believes in us in a personal level as well as a company.

I know its hard to choose, but which ones are your favorite vendors this year?

AL & JF: That is a very hard question, because we love them all! They are a huge aspect of our event. Some of our favorites include Besos Boutique, BonBliss, Pelon’s Organics, and of course we cannot wait for MALA to join us this year!

What is next for New Girl Expo?

AL & JF: We definitely want to go regional and bring NGE to San Francisco, Miami, New York, and eventually at some point, international! Mexico, Paris sky’s the limit for us!

Holiday parties are coming up, what are the must-have items for any girl attending a Holiday party?

AL & JF: We have a number of boutiques to find your perfect holiday outfit. You can get your favorite cocktail dress from ‘Miss Mary Mac,’ and head to ‘Stay on Gorgeous Makeup’ for your favorite makeup products. There are also so many perfect stocking stuffers from our jewelry vendors, and our product and novelty vendors such as, Nailed Kit and Que Dulce Body Treats. The best part is, we are supporting our small and local businesses.
