Pitch Perfect 2 Tops Weekend Box Office
“Pitch Perfect 2” had a big opening at the weekend box office to take the top spot over “Mad Max” and the “Avengers.”
The musical comedy starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson opened in first with $70.3 million… that’s more than the original “Pitch Perfect” made during its entire run in the theaters ($65 million).
“Mad Max: Fury Road” opened in second with $44.4 million while “Avengers: Age of Ultron” fell from first to third with $38.8 million.
