A study from Ohio State found that more dogs in your neighborhood = less crime. PLOT TWIST it’s not for the reasons you think.

Yes, a “Beware of Dog” sign can scare away burglars but this study found that you actually hold the power. Dog walkers have the same effect as a neighborhood watch because they “patrol” the streets.

Brad Pitt Debuts As A Sculptor In Finland Exhibition

Brad Pitt can now add a new side hustle to his already STACKED resume…SCULPTOR! A-list Hollywood star has publicly debuted his first works of art at the Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere, Finland. The nine works on display by Pitt include; A house-shaped structure molded in clear silicon and shot with bullets, “House A Go Go”: an 18-inch miniature house made out of tree bark, and a coffin-sized bronze box depicting hands, feet, and faces attempting to break through.

Happy Mexican Independence Day! Looking for a place to celebrate? The 76th East LA Mexican Independence Day Parade and Festival is happening Sunday, Sept. 19, 2022.

This year, the theme of the parade is “United for strong physical and mental health,” honoring heroes of the pandemic. Grand Marshals include Dodgers legend Fernando Valenzuela and Katya Echazarreta, the first-ever Mexican-born woman to travel to space!

Here’s Where California Students Can Now Get 24/7 FREE Tutoring

California students can now get FREE 24/7 online tutoring and homework help – all thanks to a new initiative from state lawmakers! Students can go to the state website any time of day and get in touch with a live one-on-one tutor. We’re the first state in the nation to offer such a program. Here’s an added bonus, there’s no age limit to who can use the service! Adult learners can access writing assistance, citizenship resources, and other tools. The funding comes from the Building Forward Library Improvement Grant Program.

WET NOSE WEDNESDAY: German Shepherd Puppy Needs A Home

Marcella is an 8 week German Shepherd puppy. She is sassy and loves to play! Marcella absolutely LOVES her foster siblings and her foster human brother. She will need to be adopted into a home with someone who will take her training seriously and continue to give her the tools to challenge her physical and mental needs. Marcella is learning how to walk on the leash and has had multiple successful potty breaks outside but, like any puppy, is still working on becoming fully potty trained.

Ellen K’s Hatch Chile & Cheese Chicken Recipe


ICYMI This morning on the Ellen K Morning Show, here’s what Ellen K made for dinner last night.

Hatch Chile and Cheese Chicken Recipe:

Ingredients-

Original recipe yields 4 servings

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 ½ cups shredded pepperjack cheese
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced hatch chile peppers, drained
  • 1 tablespoon dry fajita seasoning

Steps-

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 9 inch square baking dish (or similar size) with cooking spray.

Step 2

Make a deep cut into the side of each chicken breast half to form a pocket or ‘purse’. Stuff 1/4 cup of cheese and about 1 tablespoon of the chilies onto each one. Close, and secure with a toothpick so that the cheese does not escape while in the oven. Place the stuffed chicken into the baking dish. Season with Fajita seasoning, and then sprinkle the remaining cheese and chilies over the top.

Step 3

Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until the chicken juices run clear, and cheese is melted and lightly browned.

Ellen K Joins The Radio Hall Of Fame Class of 2022


The Museum of Broadcast Communications announced the inductees for the Radio Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022.

Congratulations to one of Los Angeles’ most iconic voices, Ellen K.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications’ Radio Hall of Fame honors those who have contributed to the development of the radio medium throughout its history in the United States.

The Class of 2022 had 24 nominees chosen by the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, with input from the radio industry and listeners.

The Radio Hall of Fame inductees will be honored in person at the 2022 Radio Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in Chicago.

Ellen is the first (and only) female to anchor a morning radio show with her solo namesake in Los Angeles radio history – and is the longest continuously airing morning radio personality in the #1 radio market.

In addition to her work in radio, Ellen has voiced the Grammys, Oscars, Emmys, and several other ABC and CBS TV projects.

Ellen has launched an annual fundraiser for Children’s Hospital LA on Giving Tuesday raising +7 figures for CHLA.

She’s also an Executive Board Member for Loyola High School and serves as the President of the Hollywood Walk of Fame selection panel.

Recently named ‘iHeart Radio Personality of the Year’, Ellen was honored with a Star on the Walk of Fame.

We salute Ellen, the Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2022, along with all the nominees on their success.
