Katy Perry is having trouble getting the trademark for ‘left shark’

Katy Perry’s performance during halftime at this year’s Super Bowl is still a hot topic at the U.S. Trademark Office. Katy got bad news that her company’s initial attempts to register a “Left Shark” design had been rejected.

Dancing with two background dancers dressed as sharks, Perry had social media buzzing during her performance.

The “Left Shark” became an Internet meme after the Super Bowl, so Perry’s team tried to capitalize. They included a registration on the design as well as the phrases, “Left Shark,” “Right Shark,” “Drunk Shark,” and “Basking Shark.”

According to the Trademark folks, there’s not enough evidence submitted yet that consumers look at “Left Shark” and think a Katy Perry music performance.

‘Full House’ reboot is OFFICIAL

“Full House” is coming back.

John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse Katsopolis on the popular ABC family comedy of the late 1980s and early 1990s, confirmed rumors of the show’s reboot Monday on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, telling Kimmel Netflix had ordered 13 episodes of the new comedy. He said the series would kick off with a one-hour special.

Later in the evening, the streaming service put out its own announcement, saying “Fuller House” will premiere in 2016. The comedy will star “Full House” veterans Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, with Stamos set to produce and guest star.

Netflix says it is talking to other “Full House” stars, including Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin, about participating as guest stars.

Stamos told Kimmel that “Fuller House” will focus on D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Cameron-Bure) and her children; her sister, Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin); and their memorable kooky neighbor, Kimmy Gibbler (Barber).

According to the Netflix announcement, “Fuller House” will continue the adventures that began in the original, eight-season comedy, “with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller pregnant and recently widowed, living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler, along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s two boys – the rebellious 12-year-old J.D. and neurotic 7-year-old Max – and her soon-to-arrive baby.”

Did Drake Congratulate Nicki?

Nicki Minaj has kept her engagement to rapper Meek Mill relatively under the radar, except for the picture of her larger-than-life engagement ring.

When she made a surprise appearance during Drake’s Coachella performance on Sunday, she got a hug and congrats… and fans were wondering if it was for her engagement.

Drake said, “The love of my life. I love this girl right here, we family forever. Congratulations and all that.”

When the two musicians went it for their emotional moment, her massive ring is pretty evident! Although neither Meek nor Nicki have explicitly said they’re engaged, a source told E! News that they are set to tie the knot.

Just a few hours after Nicki Minaj teased engagement news on Twitter, she posted a ring pic on Instagram.

After seeing the ring, a jeweler said: “This looks like a 15-carat fancy yellow heart modified brilliant cut diamond mounted in platinum with a double halo of white pavé diamonds. This would retail for approximately $500,000…”

A source confirmed that Nicki and Meek Mill are in fact engaged. “Both Meek and Nicki have been spending amazing quality time together lately and have gotten extremely close these past few months. It may seem like it all is happening very quickly but Nicki and Meek are in this 100. They truly love each other.”

Tori Spelling in hospital with burns after falling on Benihana grill

Tori Spelling had to be hospitalized from a burn accident at Benihana’s Japanese Restaurant in Encino, California.

Witnesses say Tori, her husband Dean McDermott, their kids and a few other guests, had enjoyed brunch, when Tori tripped and fell onto a hot Japanese style grill used to prepare food in front of customers.

The actress had been laughing and having fun before she fell backwards onto the hot grill and shouted in pain from a large burn on the back of her right arm.

Sources say Spelling went home and tried to treat the burn herself, but she was in so much pain she went to her doctor the next day, who sent her to a burn center.

Spelling had a skin graft procedure done last week and must now spend several days recovering.
