Canned Fruit and Veggies Better For Your Diet, According to Research
People who eat canned fruits and vegetables might have a healthier diet than people who don’t.
Researchers looked at the eating habits of almost 42,000 American children and adults for nine years.
They found adults who ate canned fruits and veggies had average diet quality scores of 49 on a scale of 0 to 100 with 100 being the healthiest… that compares with 47.4 for folks who didn’t eat these foods.
And for kids, eating these canned goods was linked to an average diet score of 45.8… that’s compared with 43.3 without these foods.
