Demi Lovato Is Now Co-Owner of a Rehab Center
Demi Lovato is now the co-owner of the Los Angeles-based mental health and rehab center where she was once treated.
She said she doesn’t know what the investment says about her, but says that it “just feels good,”
The 24-year-old stayed at the rehab center in West Hollywood back in 2013. At that time, she entered as a “nightmare” patient battling depression, bulimia, and drug and alcohol abuse.
She had previously undergone a rehab stint three years earlier, after a brawl with a backup dancer during her tour with the Jonas Brothers.
She said, “I lived fast and I was going to die young. I didn’t think I would make it to 21.”
But Lovato turned her life around after her treatment, and has become a high-profile spokeswoman for erasing the stigma of seeking help for mental health issues.
