Don’t Fall for the Amazon Scam Email

There’s an email going around that asks Amazon customers to confirm their banking ‘information’, or they will not be able to access their Amazon account.

Customers are invited to click on a link that appears to take them to the company’s website. But the link actually takes users to a fake, authentic-looking phishing site designed to look like an Amazon page.

The customer is then asked to type in their bank details to re-verify their account.

Don’t do it. If you do, you’re giving crooks your bankng info and they can use it to commit fraud.

Amazon says they will never ask for details including your bank account info, credit card PIN, or passwords.
