Hilary Duff Apologizes for Boyfriend’s Halloween Costume
Hilary Duff has apologized for he controversial Halloween costume.
The singer/actress, took to Twitter to apologize to her fans after she and her new beau Jason Walsh dressed up as a sexy pilgrim and Native American “chief” for the annual Casamigos Halloween party in Los Angeles on Friday night.
Duff tweeted, “I am SO sorry to people I offended with my costume. It was not properly thought through and I am truly, from the bottom of my [heart] sorry.”
Fans commented that it was especially offensive in light of the ongoing Dakota Access Pipeline protests. Protesters say the pipeline threatens the local water supply and destroys sacred Native American sites, particularly those of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
