Mattel Releases Game Developer Barbie To Inspire A New Generation Of Women To Enter The Tech Industry
There’s a new Barbie that hopes to inspire girls to get into the tech industry when they grow up.
Mattel released Game Developer Barbie which comes with a laptop and a tablet with a game she’s making. She’s also dressed in comfortable clothes has glasses and a silver headset.
The new doll is an improvement over the 2013 version when the company released a book called “I Can Be A Computer Engineer” which showed Computer Engineer Barbie relying on two men to create her designs.
The book was considered sexist by many offended readers, and was discontinued.
