Alyssa Milano Thinks It’s “Crazy” To Have Been Shamed For Sharing Breastfeeding Selfie

Alyssa Milano thinks it’s “crazy” she was shamed for sharing a breastfeeding selfie.

The actress posted an intimate photo of herself only to be inundated with cruel remarks.

And during an appearance on The Talk, Milano admitted she was stunned by the double-standard that appears to exist when women reveal their bodies.

“I was [surprised by the backlash] and I got really sad about it,” Alyssa shared. “Who are we that now we get upset as human beings if we see a woman feeding her baby? It’s crazy to me. Crazy, crazy, crazy.”

The actress pointed to Kim Kardashian’s recent attempt to “break the internet” with a series of nude images shot for Paper magazine, one of which showed her posing full-frontal.

“And everyone thought she was so brave, like, okay,” Alyssa shrugged.

Fellow mothers applauded her decision to share such an intimate moment with her daughter.

“The coolest part, without a doubt, is that I got so much support from the women that do breastfeed,” she explained, adding: “Not only is it beautiful, it is also a necessity I’m feeding my kid.”

Bradley Cooper: “The Bottom Line Is That All I Got Is Me”

Bradley Cooper opens up to Vanity Fair about his struggles with addiction and the loss of his father

Cooper says he realized he needed to stop trying to be something that he is not after his father’s death. “Losing someone close to me. Going through love and loss,” says the actor, is what made him understand that “the bottom line is that all I got is me, so it’s about time to stop trying to be something that I think you would want me to be. Or that would give me what I think I need. As you get older, thank God, your body deteriorates, but your soul sort of flourishes.”

He continues, “I see life much more gray as I get older. I was so sort of black-and-white in my late 20s. There’s right and there’s wrong and that’s it. That’s a tough way to live.” Cooper adds, “It’s rare that I judge somebody, really rare. I think people feel that, so it’s sort of easy to get close to somebody if you don’t feel judged by them.”
