The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards was the least-watched VMA’s in the channel’s history.
The awards show had 5.03 million viewers which is 39% lower than last year’s 8.26 million viewers.
The lowest viewed VMA’s was in 1996 with 5.07 million viewers.
Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards were the most-tweeted non-Super Bowl event in U.S. history.
21.4 million tweets were sent throughout the show and three hours on each side of the program. It was a 69% increase from last year’s awards which saw 12.6 million tweets.
Kanye West had the most popular moment, with 247,525 tweets after he announced he would run for President of the United States in 2020.
Kesha is set to guest-star on an upcoming episode of “Jane the Virgin”.
The “Tik Tok” singer will play Annabelle, a rocker who moves next door to Jane (Gina Rodriguez). She will make her debut in episode two.
Kesha joins Britney Spears, who play herself in the fifth episode of the season.
The new season of “Jane the Virgin” premieres Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
MTV is considering having Kanye West as its next host of the VMAs.
Allegedl, MTV was thrilled with Kanye’s 12-minute diatribe, despite the fact he brutally trashed the network and awards shows in general.
After Kanye left the stage, an MTV big wig followed him to his dressing room and gushed about the speech.
Miley Cyrus has come out as a “pansexual,” and her father says the family supports her.

He continued, “She’s rocking and rolling and having a good time. What the world needs is love. There’s too much hate…The world needs positive influences.”

Justin Bieber released his new single, ‘What Do You Mean,’ on August 28th and the track quickly reached the top of the iTunes charts.
It even beat One Direction’s “Drag Me Down,” the previous record holder for Fastest Song To Reach #1 record by five minutes.
Justin’s new single took the top spot, putting The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills” in the number two and three spots.
As for “Drag Me Down,” it got dragged down to number 15.
