SNL 40: 23 MIL viewers
The “Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special” crushed the NBA All-Star game in the ratings.
The star-studded special on NBC had a 14.2 household rating versus a 5.5 rating for the All-Star Game on TNT and TBS.
The rating for the SNL special translated into 23.1 million viewers while the All-Star game averaged 7.2 million viewers but that’s still up 12% over last year’s broadcast.
