Teen Choice Awards Nominees

Nominees for this year’s Teen Choice Awards were announced, with “Furious 7,” “Pitch Perfect 2,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Empire” leading the movie and TV categories.

“Furious 7” scored five nods, while “Pitch Perfect 2” snagged four.

“Pretty Little Liars,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Vampire Diaries” all received multiple TV nominations as well.

Taylor Swift, Nick Jonas, Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande are among the music nominees this time around.

Zayn Malik, Justin Bieber, the guys from 5 Seconds of Summer, and One Direction are just some of the contenders for this year’s fashion choice male hottie.

The 2015 Teen Choice Awards ceremony airs Sunday, Aug. 16 on Fox.

Katy Perry submits track called “1984”…. a possible revenge song to Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood”?

Katy Perry could be planning a revenge song against Taylor Swift after she submitted a track called “1984” to her music publisher. Fans think the song is a response to Swift’s recent single, “Bad Blood.”

Swift admitted last September a fellow female artist did something so horrible to her that it made them go from friends to straight-up enemies.

Taylor added that the artist “tried to sabotage her arena tour” by attempting “to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Brad Pitt on Netflix?

Brad Pitt’s next big movie could be going straight to Netflix.

The streaming service acquired distribution rights to “War Machine” and paid in the $30 million range for the rights.

The drama will star Pitt as a four-star rock star US military general. It’s the first time Netflix has gotten the rights to a new movie of an A-lister.

Kylie Jenner says her mom ‘cut her off financially’ at age 14

Kylie Jenner is 17 and says she has been an independent young woman as far as money is concerned since she was 14.

Speaking to InStyle magazine, Kylie said Kris Jenner stopped giving her money: ‘My mum cut me off financially three years ago so I pay for everything – my car, my gas and food as well as my clothes.’

Before you start feeling bad for Kylie, her net worth is an estimated $5m thus far, thanks to her years of working in the industry on TV and as well as her endorsements.

Justin Bieber guilty of assault and careless driving

Justin Bieber was found guilty of assault and careless driving in a Stratford, Ontario, court yesterday.

Bieber was arrested back in September after a collision between a minivan and an ATV led to a physical altercation with a paparazzo.

At the time, Bieber tweeted: “There should be laws against what I just experienced. We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana. I don’t have a problem with Paparazzi but when they act recklessly they put us all in danger.”

Justin received an absolute discharge on the assault charge and a $600.00 fine for the careless driving charge. He was also required to pay a $80 victim surcharge.

Lana Del Rey confirms her third album will be out in September

Lana Del Rey announced during a show in Washington that she will release her third album in September. The album is titled “Honeymoon” and will be the follow-up to 2014’s “Ultraviolence.”

Del Rey is currently on the Endless Summer tour with Courtney Love.

A booklet containing lyrics from a song titled, “Honeymoon” can be purchased at her tour’s merchandise stand.

Drake changes the lyrics to his song “Madonna” to “Rihanna”

 

Drake changed the lyrics to his song “Madonna” in Houston over the weekend to pay tribute to Rihanna. The performance was part of Drake’s annual Houston Appreciation weekend.

The original version of “Madonna” was featured on Drake’s mixtape “If’ You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” which came out in February.

Drake has been romantically linked to Rihanna in the past.
