“Mother hold the candle steady while I peel the chicken’s legs.” – @rodstewart 😂 Hear that, call 1-800-929-5678 & win!

He’s a rock and roll icon! A Living legend. A global treasure. We had such a blast with Rod Stewart this morning! A solo artist that has sold over 200-million albums worldwide, but he still took the time to call his friend Ellen K this morning on KOST 103.5.

NEW ALBUM IN MAY

Rod Stewart gave an exclusive interview to The Ellen K Morning Show on KOST-FM in Los Angeles and revealed some long-awaited details from the studio. “Tomorrow, I will complete a brand new album of twelve original songs,” Stewart shared with Ellen K. “And it should be out in May.” Sir Stewart says he’s recently rediscovered his passion for songwriting, “I’ve fallen in love with writing again. I don’t know where this came from.” Turns out, he was soured on the process years ago. “When I was with The Faces, I used to hate it. They’d lock me up in a room with a bottle of wine and wouldn’t let me out until I’d finished the lyrics.”

WRITING WITH RONNIE WOOD

Rod Stewart joined the Ellen K Morning Show on KOST-FM in Los Angeles and shared a never-before-told story about writing music with a young Ronnie Wood. “Back in those days, no one was writing songs. The Beatles had started, but the Stones weren’t even writing songs.” The two musicians, in their late teens, were at Ronnie’s mom’s house, “for hours and hours with a pencil, but nothing came.” Though, Stewart says, not for a lack of effort by Mrs. Wood, “Ronnie’s mom brought in a bottle of wine. So we got pissed as farts and fell asleep. In the morning, she came in and said, ‘well, you’ll never be The Beatles.'”
